Our Story
Our Story

Jason Ligas is one of the leading figures of Greece’s natural wine movement. Raised at the family-owned Domaine Ligas in Pella, northern Greece, he learned winemaking alongside his father, Thomas Ligas, a pioneer of organic and low-intervention viticulture. After studying oenology in Montpellier and gaining experience with renowned French producers, including Jacques Selosse in Champagne and Domaine Gardies in Roussillon, Jason returned to Greece with a vision of expressing unique terroirs through minimal intervention and regenerative farming practices. Beyond the family estate, he has developed projects across Samos, Tinos, Naoussa, and Mount Olympus, where he founded his own label, Voï. Working with indigenous grape varieties from the historic vineyards of Rapsani, his wines are naturally fermented, unfiltered, and produced without added sulfites. Through his commitment to authenticity, a-tipicity, biodiversity, and the preservation of Greece’s viticultural heritage, Jason Ligas has become a key ambassador for Greek natural wine on the international stage.
Terroir

Nestled on the southern slopes of Mount Olympus, Rapsani is a terroir shaped by altitude, mountain winds, and diverse soils of schist. Here, ancient vines draw energy from a landscape where the mountains meet the Aegean Sea, creating wines of freshness, depth, and natural balance. Rapsani is a place of quiet power, where history, nature, and viticulture come together in every bottle. Xinomavro, Stavroto and Krassato grappes are co planted forming a historic appellation of exceptional character Rapsani PDO (Protected Designation of Origin)
Winemaking Philosophy

Voï Winery’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that great wine begins in a healthy vineyard and should be a pure expression of place. Guided by principles of permaculture farming, biodiversity, and minimal intervention, the winery works closely with nature to preserve the character of each site and vintage. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentations and aged inf barrels with native yeasts, the absence of additives, and a hands-off approach allow the wines to develop naturally. Often bottled unfiltered and without added sulfites, the wines reflect a commitment to authenticity rather than uniformity, giving voice to indigenous grape varieties and the unique terroirs of Mount Olympus and Rapsani.
