We are open every summer for tours and tastings in the relaxed, natural setting of our garden. Our aim is to focus on your enjoyment, and we want you to leave us feeling that you have experienced something very special. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff, who also speak excellent English will welcome and guide you through the wines, answering any questions you may have. We also offer delicious, light snacks for those who wish to linger further over a glass of wine, and bottles may be purchased in our shop.

Our Story
Our Story

FAMILY HERITAGE Gentilini is a family name that dates back to 1590 on Kefalonia. From our first vintage in 1984 our passion has been to create top quality, exciting and expressive wines while promoting the unique flavours and aromas of the local Kefalonian varieties. We sustainably farm 15 hectares of vineyards, avoiding the use of weed-killers and pesticides, which respects our staff, our land, our wines and our customers and results in exceptional fruit. Terroir

Kefalonia is a lush island blessed with plentiful rainfall in the winter followed by a long, dry and sun-drenched ripening season. This rhythm and cycle of nature allows for healthy, fully ripe grapes with concentration, balanced acidity and pure varietal expression. The Gentilini estate vineyards are located around the winery, near the village of Minies on Kefalonia and on the slopes of Mount Ainos, within the Robola Appellation Zone. We farm over fifteen hectares of vineyards that are planted with Robola, Mavrodaphne, Moschofilero, Tsaoussi, Zakynthino and Syrah and the soil is chalky and shallow above a bedrock of limestone, which is the best type of terroir for fine wine making.
Winemaking Philosophy

With respect for tradition and a modern outlook on winemaking, we seek to produce clean, expressive wines from the exceptional local varieties, showcasing their purity, minerality and balance while capturing the limestone terroir, the light and the rich energy of Kefalonia.
